The New Pot Bread
An easy one-pot bread recipe that anyone can make.
Perfect for dipping into olive oil.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
10g dry yeast
1 Tbsp sugar
1 ½ cups water, lukewarm (helps develop faster)
3 ½ cups flour
1 ½ teaspoon fine salt
Caramelized red onion
Basil pesto, to serve
Preheat the oven to 180°C and allow the Le Creuset Cocotte Every to preheat.
In a jug, combine yeast, sugar and water.
Let the yeast develop for 5 minutes.
In a microwavable bowl, measure out flour and salt.
Create a well in the centre, add in the yeast mixture.
Combine until a dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes.
Place in a greased microwavable bowl, then cover with a wet kitchen towel.
Microwave the dough for 20 seconds.
Allow to sit for 5 minutes and repeat for another 20 seconds.
Leave in the warm microwave for 10 minutes.
Shape the dough into a ball.
Place into the cocotte.
Bake with the outer lid on for 25 minutes.
Add toppings and bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 20 minutes before serving.
